About
Your home should tell your story.
Part art, part science, good design is as functional as it is beautiful. But above all else, your home should tell your story.
I specialize in helping busy homeowners navigate the many decisions involved in making a house into a highly personalized home.
Our homes are the settings for some of the most important moments of our lives.
Deeply inspired by nostalgia, I’m a firm believer that the small decisions we make now can create a lifetime of memories for our friends and family. I can still remember the way the sunlight looked in my Memaw’s kitchen and the way the heat felt blowing up through the floor vents of my childhood home. Good design has the power to instantly transport us.
My approach honors the unique architectural features of your home by combining old and new, all the while crafting a narrative that is unique to you.
At the outset of every project, I work to develop a deep understanding of how every space will be utilized. With a focus on functionality and thoughtful consideration of meaningful heirlooms, I truly believe the best service I can provide is to create a backdrop that enhances your everyday routines.
Prior to achieving my RIDQC certification, I came to design in a roundabout way. A life-long design enthusiast, I’d relegated interior design to a hobby. After a decade of working for nonprofits in New York, D.C., and then Texas, I was inspired to try my hand at design when friends started asking for help designing their homes. I quickly realized how my experience managing large teams and projects, easily translated to orchestrating major remodels and renovations. I also saw how years of training, coaching and mentoring staff, prepared me for walking clients through complex and sometimes lengthy projects. What hasn’t changed, is that people are still at the heart of all I do.
After all, interior design is really less about the house and more about the people living in it.
